Your favourite secret agent man
from straight across the pond.
When duty calls, he’s sure to go
above and quite beyond.
Of vodka, guns, and women too,
this double-O is fond.
At poker games it’s like he has
some kind of magic wand.

In every film and every book,
(and sequels they have spawned)
we’ve never seen the hero look
just quite so buff and blond.
Our man, he has been Rogered,
he’s been Pierced, and also Sean’d.
And now that he’s been Danieled
Is he still the same old Bond?

I’ve seen the movie now, and so
I feel I can respond.
Another “reimagining”
that Hollywood has pawned
onto the waiting public, and
this time I don’t feel conned.
It may not be the shortest, but
at least I never yawned.

Rybo says:

One of the new Bond’s most Bond-like qualities is the fact that he can, with the subtlest changes in facial expression and demeanour, make you think that you really really want him to like you, but it won’t be easy. I think I’ve developed a crush.

Dominic Bugatoo says:

Looking forward to seeing this one myself. Did they ease off on all the ‘product placement ‘ crap for this flick?

AKMat says:

Went to see it opening night and I must say, it was refreshing in the way this movie was put together. It almost seems as if they were able to channel the departed spirit if Cubby himself, it so reminded me of the early Bond films staring Connery. The big question now is can they keep it up for another two films?
